The city half-marathon was called "Run, Montevideo". All places to run were filled quickly. The race went through the usual Rambla and back. In some sections there were people running in both directions, with each stream of runners just a few meters apart from the other one. No accidents and I did not see anyone taking a shortcut.
The effort starts to show in the faces by mid-race.
I was not the only photographer around. This one had the idea of following the race in a bicycle, probably shooting video.
Sometimes results are unexpected. This runner looks like our President. Mr. Vazquez. The guy about to pass him in a wheelchair looks like one of the opposition leaders, Mr. Novick. No political conclusions should be extracted.

The new harbor in Piriapolis
The Piriapolis harbor has sprung three new yacht piers. I do not own a yacht, but at least the fishing boats are back where I can take pictures of them.
This large boat has been on repairs for a very long time.
Shadows and reflections are the best part of the view, if you look at them.
Homage to the founder of Piriapolis.
I can think of no better way to start the new year than taking a few pictures of boats in a cloudy day.

End of a long year
2015 is coming to a close. Today it is very warm but it took some time to raise the temperature. For instance, it was quite cool and windy in the Rambla, during the San Felipe y Santiago street race. The athletes flew past my lens in the dusk.
I went to the Prado, the big beautiful park around the Miguelete creek. Many people were doing exercise and walking. If only the Miguelete were cleaner!
The classic fishing boats are still around in Buceo, swaying in the sun.
I would like to end 2015 in color! How about Flamenco dancers in an amateur show?
Thanks for your patience during 2015 and all the best for the New Year!
